Now that the NFL has announced that the people of Los Angeles are getting their Rams back, many people are beginning to wonder what else they have up their sleeves.
The Raiders and the Chargers are getting all of the attention right now, but, could somebody who is way out of this picture be getting all of the attention in the next few years?
And the survey says… Yes.
New York City and Los Angeles are two of the biggest markets in the world let alone the country, but, the NFL is just beginning to sink its teeth into the two powerhouses.
The New York Giants and the New York Jets are going to be the big questions surrounding the NFL for the next few years. Even though MetLife Stadium, which is located in East Rutherford, New Jersey, is extremely close to the Big Apple, there is nothing like the atmosphere of New York City for a sports team.
All New Yorkers accept from their sports teams is winning.
Up until this past season, if you asked me which team from Jersey is a better fit for New York, I would have said the Giants without a second thought, but, it would be a different answer after what happened this past season.
The answer would be the Jets.
If you look at both these teams, they look like they are going in opposite directions.
The Giants are looking for a coach whose styles and philosophies will play to quarterback Eli Manning’s strengths. The Giants are beginning to think about what their life will be like without their quarterback, because, no matter how good of a player that Odell Beckham Jr is, he needs someone to throw the ball so he can make those acrobatic catches.
The Jets are on the rise and have a lot to look forward to.
Todd Bowles, who was given the Jets’ head coaching position during last offseason, has proven that he has what it takes to be a head coach in the NFL. Unless Tom Brady is bionic, within the next few years, if they continue to rebuild and get the right pieces, the Jets are going to be able to take the AFC East over.
Within the next few years, the NFL is going to move a team to New York City and they would be smart to transfer the Jets instead of the Giants.
